The Cuban Ballet School, the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional (Cuban folk group) and diverse groups of contemporary dance are some of the main expressions of dance arts in Cuba. Alicia Alonso, our prima ballerina, is well known all over the world not only for her outstanding performances, but also for her continuous work and concern in the education of new talents in the Cuban Ballet School, founded by herself.
